ah, I see it now, they have it set up as pop ups, so any browser that blocks popups wouldn't even realize it, that is kind of a dumb design

I couldn't even figure out how to get my chrome browser with ad block to allow popups easily, so I went to Edge and it worked

still wonder about the salaries though

Union wages and benefits. I'd be guessing they start in the $23 an hour range. I think they work like 8 to 4 or similar.

how much time does it take to cross the border both ways though?  If you value your time it could negate the benefit, but of course one would also have to do some other shopping while down there too so it all could add up ok.

The border waits are what always discourages me from doing it.

Avoid weekends. Avoid when many are off from work/school.

We ventured down Thursday just after 8am, 3 booths open, minimal wait. Came back 12:45 Thursday afternoon, 3 booths open, minimal wait.

Some go thru the process to use the NEXUS lanes... We haven't bothered to do that.

interesting thanks

I see that being the transit police they look like they have very serious security background checks in place, makes sense, but I wonder how perfect an applicant has to be, do they check credit rating and everything so if you didn't pay a phone bill 5 years ago you would fail?

any idea what the salary would be for that?

the work safe bc website is kind of strange, I click on the job to see the details and it does nothing, it seems they just want you to jump straight to the apply for job page with no way to get information on the specific job requirements

Fred Meyer in Bellingham was selling gas at $2.52.9 US a gallon, noon today, and that roughly converts out to 87¢ a litre Canadian!!

how much would a job like that range in pay? thanks

Training wage just over $22hr.

Regular status means paid benefits

Temp/casual status means like 20% more $$$ in lieu of benefits.
