on/off on/off... so what happens, every time you enable pics someone starts to post oversized images?

how annoying

is there a way to limit the size of images that can be uploaded to the board?

do you think ppl are trying to sabotage this board? there isn't much traffic anyway, so what's the use?

The person must have a motive, because it happened over and over again for days whenever they turned pics back on. Maybe he is with the other forum?

Now who would want to do that? Who would have motive and is petty enough? Hmmm....

the strange thing was the spammer used all kinds of different handles that were all people's names from DV over the last few years

the only logical answer is "someone from dv".

however i don't see this place constituting a threat to dv's well being. the traffic here is just too low to take away dv's profits.

Well some of us were banned for merely mentioning this site. Yeah I'd say they're prime suspects. Particularly given the juvenility of certain mods.

Sorry about the picture problem, I am working on a couple of solutions.

The spammer had set up a script to cycle through proxies and different handles making a very annoying problem, so in the meantime pictures had to be turned off until the fixes are in place.

In the past 20 mins or so I've been browsing here I've seen them being turned on/off twice so far.

Which begs the question, how many times on average pics are enabled/disabled here per day? [Cheesy]

actually pics are on now, but you have to make around 100 posts first and then you get promoted to 'reg' and the mod will turn your pics on Tongue  one of the perks of being a regular
