I'm not one for flu shots but one of the people who died of H1N1 went to school with my daughter.  She is in at age range at it seems to be hitting the hardest and she has asthma so I told her to get the shot.  She's a high school teacher so exposed all day to hundreds of kids.

My other daughter has already had H1N1 and it really did hit her lungs bad she had a real hard time breathing.

I agree, no thanx.

But.... being in the service industry, I handle a lot of stuff the general public use. I am going to start with the latex gloves along with the hand sanitizer.

As indicated by Nat, this hits the lungs hard.

They now want anyone who starts to notice breathing problems, to get medical help right away. Do not wait another hour.

If anyone you know says they find it hard to breath or their lungs hurt, advise them to get help right away.

I am still thinking about it. The shot that is.

Actually I don't think it is "just the flu" if it was they would not be spending all this time preparing people for it, and offering FREE vaccine. I think it is a little more serious then just the regular flu. Most of us probably have not come in contact with any similar type of strain so the chances are pretty good, you could get quite ill. I'd rather just get immunized from it, and avoid it.

I have no intention of contracting swine flu. It is very serious. The fact Health Canada has spent millions and is undertaking the biggest vaccination program in Canadian history is evidence of that.

So we have a notice up here at work for the flu shot, free. Then $15 if you want H1N1 shot and $40 for some phemococal what ever shot. lol

Can we say overkill! I'm not getting anything, thank you. What do I look like a pincushion! lol

I hope you will be okay.

H1N1 is particularly deadly with healthy, younger women.

From CKWX 1130 news blog

Long line-ups for H1N1 vaccine before clinics even openVANCOUVER (NEWS1130) -

The B.C. Centre for Disease Control is reporting three more H1N1 deaths in the province.

Two of the new deaths are in the Fraser Health region, the other in the Interior.  Fraser Health says both of its cases were middle-aged women who had underlying health problems. That brings the total number of swine flu-related deaths in B.C. to 12.

H1N1 hospitalizations have also gone up over the past week, with the highest numbers in the Fraser and Coastal Health regions."

From My CBC Feed

The death of a 13-year-old Ontario boy from swine flu has many B.C. families and organizations taking extra precautions to minimize the spread of the H1N1 virus.

Evan Frustaglio of Toronto died Monday, within a few days of complaining of a sore throat.

B.C. Children's Hospital in Vancouver has reported seeing 50 to 60 new cases of H1N1 every day for the last few weeks, but most of the children have not required admission.

I think it is the other way around. $15 for regular flu shot and H1N1 is free for every one I thought!
My employer covers the cost of the flu shot anyway,if i have to pay. I am getting mine done.

Just been reading this guys ...  about the swine flu right?

Are you in Canada all been offered the vaccination cos over here in the UK only certain groups of people get it.

Everyone else is just told to go to bed..drink loads of fluids and take paracetamol.
