my new counters are being installed! the guys just arrived, god I hope there are no screw ups,I am sick of this long wait.
Once it is in I have to hurry up and make a final decision on all my tiles. I didn't want to commit until I had a huge piece of counter to look at,because those little samples they give you just don't cut it !

then all I have to do is wait on the tile guy to be available to install [hoping all my tiles are actully in stock]
then I can FINALLY get my new appliances delivered and have a kitchen again!
I am so sick of eating out of my laundry room.

I'm amost expecting something to go wrong, so far almost everything that has been done we have had some kind of screw up and have had to have stuff fixed,or replaced etc.

The painters are here too working on the outside

most of it was planning before any work actually started. I was deciding on cabinets, appliances etc. but your right it is taking one hell of a long time,and we are still not finished!
I think I may order more windows for the rest of the house, and possible rip out my carpeting and put in hard wood. Not sure I want to do that yet. Maybe next year.I think I may need a break from all these trades people intruding my space!

I "think" they may of screwed up the measurements 
When the silstone guy was over measuring for hours, he said the one cabinet on the left hand side where my new slide in gas range was to go was over too far for the counter,so homedepo sent their cabinet guy back over to move the cabinet about an inch or less. Anyway now the counter is in,on the right hand side it over hangs the cabinet slightly But on the left hand side the cabinet sticks out a bit more then the counter.  I am wondering with the slide in range covering the counter top anyway if it will make adifference or if I am going to have agap or what.
I also don't want to go ordering floor tile to go in if I have to have the cabinet moved yet again.I am so sick of tade people screwingup almostevery single thing they have done. I have had so many other minor little screw ups so far I have not bothered mentioning,but this is getting ridiculous.
we will call and send some photos in to see if it will be a problem or not. It better not delay my kitchen being finished.I'm sure it will tough. Other then that the silstone looks really nice.I'm glad I held off on the tile until it was in because now I can get a better idea of the over all look.

Your gonna love this next bitch I noticed a fine line crack in one of my fricken cubboard doors tonight.I am wondering if the counter top people hit it.You can barely see it because of the stain on the wood,but if you look close it is quite obvious that there is a crack,almost looks like a razor cut it is so fine.
At this point I have just about had it,as anything and every thing that can possible go wrong has! They better replace that one door.
