I had another bear in my front yard the other day. I don't mind the bears it is the coyotees eating my cat I worry about!

As far as cougars go,if you come across one ,never run.that is the worse thing to do, it is a cat and running  will make it attack you. Always try to look and act as big as possible make lots of noise,try to scare it. Throw stuff at it etc. if it attacks you fight back. Gouge at its eyes etc.

with a bear just walk away slowly keeping eye contact,they will not normally attack you unless it has a cub with it or is starving to death. if it attacks you I guess your pretty well f***ed!
