I never thought that this day would come.  When I first started this job, everyone told me that it wouldn't last.

Gordy predicted I'd be sacked within 4 days.

NSgirl and my dad predicted I'd be gone within a week.

DDD gave me two weeks tops.

I myself didn't even think I would make it to the end of 2008.


Yet here I am.  Still able to hold down a job.  In fact I got my temporary name tag in January, and my permanent name tag in February.  I even got a raise in April, and now I'm making $8.50/hour.

So Gordy, if you're reading this, I'm not an 8 buck bag boy, I'm an 8.50 bag boy. Wink

A friend of mine for over 20 years works at Thrifty Foods in Tsawwassen... She's fairly happy with the job and benefits...

I started out at Shop Easy Foods in 1982, and later Super Valu for 4 more years, before switching to (then) BC Transit...
