If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you would have $49 today.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you would have $33 today.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you would have $0.00 today.

But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund, you would have received $214!

Based on the above, the best current investment play is to drink heavily and recycle. It is called the 401-Keg.

look, i love the humour, but as a person who cares and returns beer cans--I HAD ABOUT 500 CANS WHEN THEY CHANGED FROM 5 CENTS TO 10 CENTS AND DOUBLED MY MONEY--YOU CAN NOT GET 214 BUCKS RETURN FROM 1000 BUCKS OF BEER AND DEFINITELY NOT FROM 1000 CANS

BUT I STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY

this is weird because i thought abought it earlier today
if i was a can collector and knew a change was coming, i could buy the whole country's 5 cent cans for 6 cents and then sell them for 10 cents

me too, one day we might have disposable biodegradeable containers that actually fertilize as they decompose.
