... and then afterwards swing by the legion, let the kiddies spent a little quality time alone in the car while you pop in and suck back some Lucky Lager suds and choke on a few Luckies with Marlboro Man

A great place to take the kids is east hastings.  Its a cultural centre here in BC, and quite a lot to see.

Yes!  I recommend Main and Hastings myself...  Carnegie Center provides visitors and locals alike the opportunity to experience the finer things Van has to offer!

Yeah I did that with my son once already... Not something I care to try again...

I got lost on the way to his doctor after getting off the skytrain... No I don't plan on EVER doing that again...

Well, maybe in one way it's a good lesson for your son to see the 'other side' of life...  A lesson on what the outcome could be if one makes a couple of wrong decisions at some point in their life.

If it's not too wet, you guys can always head out to Maplewood Farm. It's located in North Vancouver. It's a great place to meet animals and it's pretty cheap. $5 for adult and about $3 for kids. http://www.maplewoodfarm.bc.ca/

We had soooo much fun at Maplewood Farm... We took our rubber boots and walked around everywhere... Only took an hour around there but it was so worth it.. I have pictures on my facebook...

Hey Mandy, I'm glad you had fun in Maplewood Farm. See, it isn't half bad, is it? And dirt cheap too (no pun intended!). My kids love Maplewood Farm and we'll definitely be going back soon.
