I thought I'd title this thread to accommodate similar requests and responses...

I'm looking for an easy download of a song that I'd heard on local radio (CITR) a few years ago...  I can't seem to find it anywhere...

It's a cover of The Who's 'Baba O'Riley (teenage wasteland)' performed by 'The Hinnies'...

looks like they are broken up... did you see their site?

there is a contact email there, you might want to try a quick email to the guy running the site, by the looks of it they'd probably be helpful

the amazon link has sound clips from the album

listening to the hinnies short clip they sound like a pretty raw kind of rock, hard to place exactly what they remind me of

Ya!  I listened to that clip just now too!  The were pretty raw, but after all these years I'd forgotten how it sounded!  I do recall them doing a pretty good job overall on the track, but I guess I may have to pay to listen to it in its entirety!

Thx for posting the links...

I just requested OLP... coming up after this song

I doubt you can request your Hinnies song again til tommorrow, but not sure how their licensing works

if you do you should get downloadhelper set up with firefox and rip the song

they played the entire song in great quality... its a pretty decent cover

I'm using Firefox...  It's not working exactly as you describe!  That's why I've been toying around with the links, but I'm somewhat confused!  Firefox may be blocking something, or perhaps it requires a plug-in...

yeah, you need to switch to IE

that is what is supposed to show up, but it is also supposed to have a little player module right on top of that screen
