there must be a purpose, we might not get to find out what the purpose was until after its over, but I find it hard to think that all of this is completely pointless

You are now where I've always been...

Don't worry about work, as there's enough companies hiring...

You want kids?  I should've taken pictures today on the room I'm renovating here.  The kids f***ing destroyed it...  They cause me much work, and they're not even mine!

Find a hobby.  Take a break from teh forumz if need be...

Sounds like your lack of faith has finally caught up to you.

This is perhaps one of the few positive things about religion: A religious person wouldn't lose hope like you're doing.

And take that from a hard core agnostic like myself. [8D]

The fact that you're breathing is a miracle.

Hunting for freebies and bargains can be fun, so long as they're not taken to the extreme and always viewed as a hobby. I've seen some people getting carried away with this that's why I'm saying it.

Personally I enjoy an occassional bargain hunt, but have kept away from contests though. The odds always appeared too low to be worth the effort.

neptidude [8D] you need to embark on a vision quest of some sort, or other any endevour that'll bring you closer to your current calling in life. Otherwise,

platitudes won't work.

Neither will cliches,

nor will political correctness...

In short, other people's vision won't work. That vision has to come from you, and only you.

I haven't played a lottery in ages.... thinking back to when I was younger I now think that it is a good thing that I never won a lottery, having too much easy money would be a bad thing I think.... imagine how your life would have been different (probably in a bad way) if you had millions at the age of 18

I probably wouldn't be alive right now, come to think of it...

I could use the money now though!

I haven't played the lotto for over 10 years either. The only reason why I'd want to buy a ticket and win is so that I can own a home.

37 million wouldn't be too bad for that purpose. [Cheesy]

I agree...  I only buy a couple dollars worth of tickets when the prize is high like now...  It's the only way I could ever own a decent home of my own.  That, and to guarantee that I would never have to work for 'the man' ever again!

Are they at least helping you fix it up?

Oh, glad to hear your bathroom is done!  How'd it turn out?

The bathroom is looking good!  I'm not sure if I want to keep the shower curtain I bought, as the design on it wasn't quite as I'd expected, but it'll work for now!

Well, what they did to the bedroom was they painted the walls and the door with something that will not just wipe off...  I had to first seal a good part of their 'artwork' with a sealant/primer type paint,  so when I paint it with the proper colour, it won't 'leech' through...

The carpet was finished...  So many permanent colours and stains, I tore it completely out yesterday.  Today I was laying the 'click&stick' fake hardwood stuff...

Even the baseboards need to be cleaned and repainted...

They also spilled so much sh- into the loveseat that I will have to disassemble it and see if I can steam-clean it back to health...  It's doubtful though...

Kids, gotta love 'em...
