Your first sentence is accurate, and that's the point. The East Indian broadcaster makes a point of saying rednecks need to accomodate immigrants. Rednecks can only be white, as far as I know, so the guy is essentially saying "white Canadians" or from your take of it "certain white Canadians" must accomodate immigrants.

Do other Canadians not need to also accomodate immigrants? Why only whites, or certain whites?
