I don't, every day here is getting more and more miserable, and the more miserable it gets, the harder I find the energy to pursue another venue.  Anybody have this as well?  I know Mandy shares my same thought!

I love what I do, but not the way I'm doing it at the moment. You have to work your ass off to get so little in return. At least the pleasure of learning new things is incommensurable.

Thus is the nature of that business. [Wink] I've learned to never wait for a pat on the back. I also have to accept that business doesn't make the money that it use to. [Sad]

Mon, I don't know what some people think, but I assume they think you're doing a favour to them, not your job, well, at least here where I live. They think it's too damn easy, like you sit in front of your computer and will create some stuff in 5 minutes, and it has to be a masterpiece, and if it doesn't take much time, it's not worth what you charge for it. Especially relatives!

It seems with every corporation I've worked with, they always reminisce on the 80's and early 90's as being their glory years.  Nowadays the corporate career model seems to be a standard 40 hour work week, with salaries ranging from 40-80k per year, whereas in those "glory" days, sky was the limit.  Now people in the workplace are replaced by bullsh- politics and limited revenue potential, as the market is becoming flooded with merchandise, thanks in no part to the inexpensive manufactred goods deriving from Asia.

LOL! Stay away from relatives. [Cheesy] I know, I know. Well people in you position here are a dime a dozen but its hard to find a good one. So if you are good and highly respected, then you can charge more. I already have a client for you. lol [Cheesy]

I'm aware of that! I've been taking some online courses to improve my skills. Knowledge is never enough!

About the client, really? Email me details! =D

I'm currently working as a free-lancer and I tell you this, it sucks! You think you have all the time in the world to do your job and you always tend to postpone things. .

I miss all the competition, working with a team, sharing ideas, experience, etc.

I agree Munra!, i work in an office with NO teammates, and coworkers who barely speak english.. the money is good, but its very solitary, and not good for those of us with anxiety issues... it gives you too much time to dwell

neptune didn't you say you were in medical school or something like that before? could you not just do a bit more schooling and get into a different profession all together along those lines?

NS, I could, although I'd have to retake many courses I already have, however you're right.. there are a zillion medical related positions out there.  Right now I'm exploring pharmaceutical sales.  Big money and fast paced.
