Does anyone know how late this place stays open on a saturday?
Is there anywhere good to eat there or close by in that area?

No idea but I always go for the Old Spagetti Factory close by. That's the only half decent place to eat.

Why would you set your standards so low that you would only seek a place that is HALF decent?

Well, put it this way.. if there's nothing else to eat, then the Old Spagetti Factory is your best bet. That's what I mean. I can't recommend anything else to eat around that area. But yeah, I can see what you mean by that.

Hi NSGirl.  I think it closes at around 5.  M-F the market closes at 6:30.  You could call them 604-520-3881.  The PaddleWheeler Pub is very good there.  It's also in the Entertainment Book if you want a 2 for 1 deal.

If you go to the IGA/Rogers plaza near the Petro Canada Gas Station on Columbia, Cockney Kings makes one of the best fish n chips out there, imo.

I don't know if they still have it... but I remember eating those tiny donuts at the Quay. It wasn't too bad. What's that place call?

it is Mariachi, especially when you hear music from the dance floor beside the pool table location. it helps muffle noise. Wink

No way, NSgirl... Lonsdale Quay is MUCH BETTER than New Westminster Quay. It feels more like a 'family outing' there than the New West one. I've never been able to feel 'safe' whenever I visit that area.

But New West Quay has Mugs and Jugs conveniently close by! [Sad!]

Oh[:0][:0]It has been quite a few years since I have been down there! this is good to know,I guess it is pretty close to a sky train station too, which probably increases your chance of skiddies being around! Maybe we will head up the street and eat at one of those little restaurants further up the hill!
thanks for the heads up!
