What are you doing this weekend?  Tonite i'm winding down, then headed over to the Ridge to spend time with my grandfather who'll hopefully be out of the hospital

ya, but he's still not very well, dialysis every 2 days, brutal =(  He spends 20 hours a day just sleeping, so its going to be really tough for him to get to the hospital.  So we'll all take turns in the family giving him rides when he needs it

nice good for you.  I almost went to UBC for my undergrad, but wound up staying in CA.  UBC is an awesome school, great med school too

I was a bio major at UCSB (pre med) then did 1.5 years medical school at UCLA before dropping out. Long story, but the causes were simple.. I couldn't afford it so I ended up working full time (big no-no) to cover costs and tuition.  SO of course that negated my studies, so I opted to bow out gracefully.  I regret it now!  But I'm still young enough to go back, but I have a pretty awesome job now, so I'm not going to put myself through all that again.

I haven't looked into it, but I'd imagine that i'd have to go through the whole process again, MCAT's, and might even have to retake some undergrad stuff.  I graduated with my BS in 2000 so its been a while
