I have a friend who's a great person but if there's an easier way to do something she'll take it. If there's an elevator she'll take it one floor or she'll use a supermarket buggy for one item. Do you think some people are just naturally inclined to take the easiest route possible?

yeah, and even within brothers and sisters, some kids are lazy and some are workers, so chalk it up to individuality, just like some are sloppy and some are neat

Nope. She just says "why should I walk when I can ride?" or something similar.

Wow. That's really lazy but yeah, I think humans will opt to take the easier way out if they can.

Well, she didn't used to be overweight but she's gained a fair bit since I've known her.

Yeah maybe. Seems to me though that some people will wait forever for an elevator and some will just sprint up the stairs. Some will go the little extra to do a good job and others will stop when it's 'good enough'.

Very true, surely, even if it's just for one floor. I always took the stairs (even during pregnancy) up to four flights just so I could squeeze in a few mins of exercise.

I never, ever, take the elavator one floor. It's so stupid. The time you waste waiting for a damn elevator often takes twice as long if you take the stairs. Go take the stairs you lazy bums!

It's like parking stalls. Some people will drive ap and down the isles trying to get a closer spot when it is really only a difference of a hundred feet or something.

I would recomend taking the elevator when you're going up 28 flights... I did it once with my son (also once at 24 flights) and we made it both times but holy sh-.. my ass and legs were burning big time... It's a good workout...

if by 'naturally' you mean genetic, i say no. if by 'naturally' you mean predisposed or something conditional, i say yes. 'naturally' is a word of broad definition and is very subjective.
