No doubt! And 12 year olds these days are doing things I never imagined doing when I was 12.
Some are and some aren't I think again it comes down to the cost of living. A lot of parents have to both work full time and hence not enough supervision and quality time spent with their kids,so the kids form attachments with each other and start doing stuff way beyond their years in some cases! life was so much simpilar in the old days when the cost of living was attainable by one parent and families spent much more time together.
