Same game as Name That Tune Classic but with later song choices.
Name either the song or artist singing or both then post a new song.

They became famous in the late 80's with the hit "The Look", remember? That cool song "Walking like a man, hitting like a hammer she's a juvenile scam. Never was a quitter, tasty like a raindrop...She's got the look!"

Was a lyric to that song 'her body's hetroslammin'? Never quite understood what that meant. Then again, i was on the short bus with those who sang 'another one rides the bus' really loud.

And the Wiki says:

"Roxette is a Swedish pop-music double act, sometimes rock-influenced, whose members are Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle.

For a significant period in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Roxette was among the top bands in worldwide sales and fame, brandishing a simple, effective blend of pop with a slight edge and occasional hints of dance. The group claims such influences as The Beatles, Blondie, new-wave music, Joni Mitchell, and Aretha Franklin...

...ABBA did have some Billboard Top 10 singles and one No. 1 in the 1970s. Even though Roxette couldn't ultimately leave behind the same legacy, the group did outperform ABBA on the singles chart, achieving four No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 between 1989 and 1991. Roxette also had two No. 2 singles and a few other Top 40 peaks until falling out of sight of the Hot 100 in 1994. Even so, by that token, Roxette can be considered a highly successful singles act. The group has been certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) with two platinum albums - 1988's Look Sharp! (released in the U.S. in 1989) and 1991's Joyride - and two gold singles - "The Look" and "It Must Have Been Love.""

Didn't know they were so successful with all those singles. What a duo. Accomplished so much with such bad hair.

this one is actually mid 80's, but the singer has the same hair so it came to my mind

here are the lyrics:

Oh, there must be something he's thinking of
to tear him away-ay-ay
when I tell him that I'm falling in love
why does he say-ay-ay
hush hush
