I know the feeling. Seems like as soon as I have enough money to go somewhere great and do something fun there's something that needs to be paid for. Braces, new tires, something broke down. But then i'm grateful I can afford the braces for the kids, and I can afford the car and new tires when there's a hole in the sidewall of two of them and all the stuff that broke down got good use out of it. Still would be nice to win the lottery. Even just a bit of it would be good.

Hello M. It's the life equation  getting out of sync. Money seems more important when you're younger and time is more important when you're older. If you do some good planning and have some luck, you can keep the right balance and stay in sync with your life, otherwise known as being happy.

@ Mandy, I know what you mean. My eldest is going this month to an orthodontist to be assessed. My youngest is not far behind, I think once I pay off the eldest I'll be starting payments again. We don't have any ortho coverage. Sucks.

Not too much new with me, probably the same since I last left off here. Sad. lol

Hello, its been a long time. 

We know what you mean M... Everything seems to get more expensive... And while many of us do make a decent wage, it just doesn't go as far as it used to...

You do have to try and spice things up a little, and enjoy the ride... Find things that you do enjoy doing, and find time to do them... Even just a leisurely walk can break up the routine from time to time...
For me & my Mrs, we LOVE Vegas... So, we try to go once a year... That's our reward, or our release to keep going... We enjoy those repositoning cruises.. We've done like 5 of them now... This year we hope to treat my sister and her boyfriend... They haven't been anywhere in years... We hope to fly out of Bellingham, to help keep the overall costs down... I figure each couple can go for about $500 each plus spending money...

For some it's trying to find MORE income. Can you rent out a room, or a suite? Might taking in an exchange student be a possibility?
If you have more than one vehicle, might it be time to consider parking one of them???
