I have implemented a new feature on this forum, which is that picture viewing is now on for all.

Picture posting capability has been granted to posters that are here and active to be deemed as regs.... Think of it as a perk for those that are regulars here [:p][:p]

"picture moderation" will be "on" for all posts until I set your handle with 'reg' status, which means pics will not automatically display, but you are still free and encouraged to post picture links, and just by posting and being active on the forum you will be set to reg status very soon (I'm thinking around 100 posts or so give or take and subject to mod discretion and time for me to get to it)

when you earn 'reg' status all you have to do to post a pic that will display is put the link in between [ img ] tags like so:

 [ img ] http:// www. picturelink.jpg [ /img ]

(remove the spaces in the above and make sure you have the / in the right spot) (you can use the 'preview' function when you are posting if you are not sure, to see if your picture is working ok, too)

common sense rules apply to images, abuse may result in deletion of your handle etc.

I've set most of the regs already, so you can test it here if you are in the 'reg' range Tongue

I think this is a pretty good solution and if a newbie to this forum comes on and posts a pic link, feel free if you are a 'reg' to reply with a repost of their link for them with [ img ] tags so that it can display (if it is an ok image of course)

Pretty good solution indeed. Might as well automatically reduce the picture if it exceeds the post area.
DV staff has a lot to learn from you.

An observation. The forum doesn't support special characters (unicode) like and so on. We can live without them thou.
