I've been buying them for awhile now.
I have also been chopping up so many melons in the past week its crazy.I have this huge plastic container that I bought spinich in.I am now using it to put cut up melon chunks in.I've been buying water melon, cataloup, honey dew and some other weird melon. tonight I cut up a pinapple too. I just keep filling it and the family keeps downing them very fast.if I didn't cut them all up they would get over ripe and rot on the counter waiting for someone else to cut them.
My fridge is full of fruits and veggie. I have strawberrys and grapes too.
I just made a smoothie with fresh fruit and crushed ice, very filling.

sugar? I don't put any sugar in my smoothies, just fresh fruit and some soy milk.

sure I will feed those kids, just like I already do. A cheque goes every month to Bolivia. We have been feeding other peoples kids now for 18 years!

What organization do you do that through? I want to do that too but I know that some of these organizations have "administrative costs" of as much as 75%. In some countries  foreign aid never gets past the politicians and generals who take the money and sell the food.

We sponsor a few kids in Ethiopia through World Vision.

I share your concerns re. administrative costs.  This 2009 article in MoneySense is very informative, showing what charities spend on administrative expenses.  I'm not at all surprised that the disease-related charities have the highest administrative costs.  Their CEOs are in it for the money, not out of sense of goodwill.
