Here is National Geographics Top Ten Beach Cities.
1. Barcelona, Spain
2. Cape Town, South Africa
3. Honolulu, Hawaii  <<< Waikiki you must be kidding.  I like the out of town Hanauma Bay Beach even with the $10 admission price. The admission was introduced a dozen years ago  to reduce the damage to the reef.  I can see the fish with the longest name humuhumunukunukuapua'a.
4. Nice, France
5. Miami Beach, Florida
6. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
7. Santa Monica, California
8. Sydney, Australia <<< How come the women have their top on on Bondi beach in the National Geographic picture? It is a top optional beach Smiley  This is Sydney, not Melbourne.
9. Tel Aviv, Israel
10. Vancouver  <<< Yeah we made it to the number 10.

This is the picture from National Geographic.

Our beaches will look even nicer when they ban smoking.

Ever dip your foot in the water here? Did it come out covered in sea plants, rotten wood, and black gooey stuff you can't identify? Our beaches are nasty. Our mountains are amazing though.... and they are what make that picture look good.

I can understand Barcelona, but I definitely wouldn't have put it top of the list.

Trip Advisor agrees with National Geographic that Vancouver has the best beaches.

Wreck Beach - Vancouver, British Columbia

Looking to experience a little more freedom? Our readers were ahead of the game nominating this 'clothing optional' beach. Popular travel review website TripAdvisor just named Wreck Beach as one of the top nudist beaches in the world. Located in Pacific Spirit Regional Park, close to the city and university, it's also easily accessible via bike, bus or foot.
