We've been out and about quite abit lately...
The Mrs had a high school reunion downtown a few weeks back, spent a beautiful Saturday evening out on a hotel patio... Lots of fun... Good food too...
Visited with some great friends a week ago for a really nice (SUPER NICE actually) BBQ... The live out in the Sullivan Heights area of Surrey... They have done some major renovations of their patio, and it is very enjoyable...
Also ventured out to Park Royal that weekend too... Haven't walked around their malls for years... Had a wonderful Sunday just wandering around... 2 indoor malls and one new outdoor village too... Had lunch at the Cactus Club... Lots of fun....
Then we had some out of town relatives visit this week, and we ventured out to White Rock yesterday... Another great day... And also took in an early movie- DESPICABLE ME was a real hoot! Very funny...
Taking an extra day off today- just because... I'll get in another hour or so of alking around town today before it gets too warm...
Then working early the rest of the week... I get to drive out to White Rock-Crescent Beach twice each day this week...
"Pencilled in" to see my Gram and an Aunt next Saturday... Haven't visited with them in a couple of months... They often like to take in a Bingo session or lunch wherever they'd like...

Turned on the news last night, and they were showing some of the wacky weather from all over the world... Was it Peru that is currently getting record amounts of SNOW? And I think it was Toronto that has had days of record heat only to then get record amounts of rain late last week too? And a dam in Iowa that burst because of the heavy rainfall upstream and is flooding numerous towns and villages downstream???

I did manage a bit of a hike the other day.It was very hot though,so I took a shorter trail then I normally would.
I've been working so much OT lately,I feel I am missing most of this weather.I left the house to go to work at 1 in the afternoon and didn't get back home until 1 in the morning. UGG
However I am getting 6 days off in a row,so I will try to do lots.
I am seeing the broadway production of 'The Lion King'  this week, I'm so excited about that. If it is as good as Shrek was it will be great!

thankyou!!! I am upset because I bought 4 tickets for all of us, but my daughter has one class left at UBC before her finals.,so she has to miss it. So I am giving her ticket away,That hurts!
I really wanted both my kids to see it. We bought tickets long time ago before I knew her schedule. We have excellent seats up nice and close.

well Lion King was good, but not as good as I hoped it would of been.I liked shrek much better.
funny I think our seats were too close to the stage for this production,as they used lots of puppets.[or what ever you call them] I think if we were back a bit further the look would of been better. We were close enough to see all the actors facial features etc,so it distracted from the costumes. The music was a tad week too,I thought. Anyhow it was still good, just not excellent..

Isn't that funny; the costumes are what blew me away.  We were on the first row of the balcony and it was a perfect view to see some rather intricate choreography that I thought was ingenious, working the costumes to resemble the mannerisms of real animals.  I was a bit miffed that I couldn't see facial expressions at all, but maybe for this production I had the right kind of seats.

I didn't see Shrek, but I've heard a lot of great things about it.  Hopefully it will come around again.

I think you had perfect seats for the show! Funny the entire time I thought we were just TOO close up to get the over all experience of the costumes. we could see every one so well,it was very distracting for me. Usually you want close seats, but if I was to do it over again I would choose seats further back from the stage.

I saw Toys Story 3 the other day. It was really well done. The scene when they were about to go into the pit of fire was so emotional.
