A little dish for the Lollipop gang Smiley

 Grin

Chicken lollipops

Ingredients

8 pieces of Chicken Lollipops drumsticks with the meat pulled down to one end. Want to impress your friends turn these in to mini lollipop chicken wing drumsticks.. they go great on hockey night football night or just a plain old lets eat to our hearts content while watching movies and drinking some cold ones...

1/2 cup Maida
1/4 cup Corn Flour
1/2 spoon Ginger Paste
1/2 spoon Garlic Paste
1/2 cup Coriander leaves
1 Spoon Red chili powder
1/4 spoon Turmeric powder
1/4 spoon Garam Masala
1 Egg
A pinch of Edible Red Colour < optional but it really makes it look good.
Salt to taste
Oil

Method

Marinate the lollipops with salt, ginger and garlic paste and keep for 5 minutes
Add finely chopped coriander leaves, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam  masala, red colour, maida and corn flour then mix well
now Add the egg and again mix well
put in the fridge for 1 to 2 hours or overnight as you wish.

Now when ready to cook you need a large pan at least 4 inches of oil to fry your chicken lollipops

Pre Heat oil in a pan and fry the lollipops on medium heat turn as needed. use tongs to keep the hot oil from  burning your fingers when trying to turn them with a fork.  (ouch my poor knuckles)

Notes
You can add a pinch of curry powder to get a different taste.
If you wish you can wrap the bony side of the lollipop with aluminum foil for the part of presentation and to grip when eating.

there is a few different recipes but I found a instructive you-tube video to show you how it is done.. Tongue great for those who have a hell of a time following my instructions.. I can't wait to try this one... the other ones i made turned out great. these look good too.

50 pieces chicken wings
50 g garlic, peeled
30 g ginger, peeled
50 g green chilies, finely chopped
2 eggs
2 tsps Pepper powder
2 tsps Garam masala
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornflour
1/2 teaspoon red food coloring
salt to taste
oil, to deep fry

Preparation :

Break each chicken wing into two parts at the joint.

Take each part and pull back the meat from one end of the bone to the other carefully, making sure that you do not pull the meat completely out.

Make a paste of ginger, garlic, green chillies, pepper powder and garam masala and apply to chicken.

Next make a batter of all purpose flour and corn flour and add it to the above. Add the eggs, red food colouring and salt and set aside for some time.

Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the lollipops on medium heat to a light brown colour.

Drain and serve.

have fun cooking.. I am so in the mood for lollipop hot wings right now...

thanks Fuzz. I troll the Internet & saw the lollipop comment and thought oh lollipop drumsticks.. Found some recipes to post, one I have made before the other 2 are new to me. I can not wait to try the video one but with curry spices. I am so hungry for wings right now. lol. even though I am full from dinner I still got a watering mouth and a grumble stomach begging for wings Smiley

sighs but no money for exotics at the moment. Maybe Monday if my GST finally comes in. it should of arrived today every one else has there's in this building but me Sad I hate it when my mail is late or delayed. Why would my GST check be delayed when all the other neighbours received theres Tue - Thu.  With a few others that arrived today. I think I was the only sad person in the lobby today.
