I do not fear the future.

« on: February 10, 2010, 05:28:27 pm »

As I was finishing up my shift at the at plaza of nations in front of BC Place, this girl came by to take over my shift. She arrived an hour early. On her way to become a pharmacist. She'll be starting 6am tomorrow same time as me. I didn't know what else to say to her. How can I score her? Gona be rare I'll get to have a long conversation with her since most checkpoints only need 1 person. We're with Impark, our job is to check permits.

Should I try some of the stuff in these videos http://www.youtube.com/user/digitsshow

A few teenage girls showed interest in me in the past, but I'm so boring they lose interest fast. This one's in college. I'm not much of a humor guy. People tell me a joke and I don't know how to respond, except maybe a very fake laugh.

GF you sound like you lack self confidence. You should practice talking to total strangers that you are not wanting to impress. next time you are in a line up or where ever just start talking to the person beside you. I do this alot now,and the more I do it the easier it becomes to do.
ever notice how at parties there is always that one person people enjoy being around. they are usually telling the funny stories or jokes etc.
start small with one or two peope and just keep starting conversations. then when the opportunity to talk to some hot young girl comes up,it won't seem so awkward,it will just come natural to you.

SMILE ALOT!  People like people who smile. I have people start up conversations with me all the time, or smile at me, and i realize it's cuz i am smiling first. Looking pleasant makes you more approachable,  which could make someone start a conversation with you first, which is easier than being the first one to start a conversation!

Tell her you want to kiss her.

I've always thought the forward approach works best since you don't have to waste your time trying to discover if she's into you or not.

She might say "no" but you'll be able to tell from her body language and the tone in which she responds whether she means "no, not now" or "no, not ever".

if it goes wrong though, such a forward approach could lead to an uncomfortable situation that lasts

But, as I said, even if they say "no" you can instantly tell if it's a "no, not now" or a "no, not ever".

Guys seem to have this idea that you have to take women out for dinners and movies and all these things before you try and make a play.

I think women reinforce this because they want the dinners and movies!

But as much as a guy knows as soon as he meets a chick whether or not he's into her so do women.

What do you have to lose?

I once read something that suggested for every 10 random women you approach and make a move on, one will say yes.

GF I think your safer listening to the advice of the ladies on here and not forny. Last thing you want is to be charged with workplace sexual harrasment! You work with this person ,so be careful on your approach, don't just blurt out you want to kiss her,you may end up fired from your job!

Yeah GF please listen to the ladies, not forn.

If a guy did that me answer would always be no, not ever.
I want a guy to show interest in my personality. If I'm just a pretty piece of ass to him, I always will be. Try talking to her about HER. Men and women both love to talk about themselves. Ask her about her hobbies, her friends, what she's doing on the weekend. This helps in many ways. 1. It gets a conversation going 2. It allows you to get to know her better 3. It allows her to talk about herself (which people love) 4. It helps you establish if there are any mutual interests. If this is the case, it's the perfect opportunity to spend even more time with her. Women respond a lot better to the sentiment of "so we both like kayaking, we should go together some time." than to "I'll do whatever you like to do, because I'm just trying to score".

For sure GF ,you know that most of the women on here find forny to be a pig,so don't try to be like him,it will get you know where! Besides I am sure your not interested in the type of women forny attracts.LOL
If your nervous about starting a conversation, start off simple like talking about an interesting customer you had.Anything work related that is humourous would be a perfect start. maybe after you get over the initial small chit chat, offer to buy her a cup of coffee on a break. go slow,if she likes you ,you will pick that up if not you will probably get a feel for that too, without risking your job.

If he listened to you ,he would be out of a job. work places do have strict rules about working in an enviroment free of harrasment.

^^ but that's my point, if someone did that to me, it would turn a "no not now" IN TO a 'no, not ever!" LOL!

Since when is telling somebody you want to kiss them harrassment?

Feminists have really screwed things up.

I think if you were at work, it could be considered harassment, but i wouldn't think that in the general public, i would take it as a compliment, Wink

ya there is a time and place for everything. Asking someone you barely know to kiss you at work can land you into trouble.

Sorry to tell you this man, but girls don't normally go for the security guards. Not for the ones working  on the parkade anyway. Unless you are an armoured-car guard or something romantic like that  Cool
